The Hagerty High School TARs also sent five of their members to the event early to volunteer their time in cleaning chairs and preparing mailers. They also deocrated the outside plaza with campaign yard signs. They got to meet many of the local leaders and got a chance to talk directly with Rep. Feeney.

HHSTAR Walks For Candidate Mike Horner

Nate Bryant, Secretary, was one of the 20+ volunteers that canvassed a neighborhood in St. Cloud today for Candidate Mike Horner who is running for Florida House District 79. Mr. Horner is also a strong candidate who is also in the running, if elected to be one of the next Speakers of the House. His site can be viewed
here.

Among them also was Mr. Andrew J. Jones, who is running for Florida House District 33 in 2010. His site can be viewed
here.

Both these men are strong conservatives who realize the need for less government in America and to let Americans do what Americans do best... be free.

Dems Duke it Out While Reps. Petition For VP

So we all know it by now the Democrats have shot themselves in the foot... they won't have their party settled out until the convention... isn't it great to be a Republican...

Well you would think so but the VP postion for the GOP seems to be making just as much trouble as the Democrats nomination. Who to choose? Mitt Romney? Not according to the petition going on at NoMittVP.com. Tancredo? Apparently not VP type. Fred Thompson? Media doesn't seem to like this idea although a few conservative websites are bringing Fred back up. Then you have the rest of them and somehow Ron Paul gets thrown into the mix as well, and don't even get me started on Feingold or Lieberman.
So it seems that America will decide the VP for McCain if this keeps up much more because the Romney talks have suddenly ceased between McCain and Mitt after this new petition agaisnt him. Maybe McCain has other plans or maybe he wants to know who America wants. Republicans this is your time to speak up for who you would rather see with McCain. Sign the petitions or start throwing your support, let John McCain know that he may have won the GOP nomination he did not win the republican vote in November yet. Hopefully this can be resolved soon because any more division in our party can definitely hurt us in November.

United, Victory Is Ours; Divided, We Will Fail.

The Reagan Debate

On Thursday night the debate at the Reagan Library was very revealing as to the true characters of the candidates running for Presidency:

Ron Paul- The Libertarian Republican running on a campaign of anti-war and pro-economic change was given very little attention and gave extremely short answers. When he was given the chance to give extended responses, he said his solution of pulling out of Iraq would eventually solve every problem in America.

Mike Huckabee- The former Baptist minister who is running on his slogan of Faith. Family. Freedom was given the cold shoulder during the entire debate along with his pleads for nore questions directed towards him. When he did get the chance to speak, he gave extended responses that pushed the time limit. What he focused on was that he would be the best leader as he was a former governor and knows how to be the official leader of a group of people unlike the senator and congressman.

John McCain- The Arizona senator who runs a campaign of amnesty and strong foreign policy that resembles one of an independent, (McCain Lieberman?) McCain who tried running against "W" in 2000 for President spent his turns of the debate repeating the fact that rival Romney supposedly was for timetables in Iraq. Needless to say even Anderson Cooper told McCain that his version of Romney's quote was wrong. After sparing with Romney, he attemted to focus the debate on his foriegn policy expirence.

Mitt Romney- The former Governor of Massachusetts, who is running on the campaign of being the most conservative of the group of canidates did well. While John McCain attacked him on false quotes, he stood his ground well on the truthfullness of quotes and his positions. Even when McCain interupted him and said false quotes, he did correct the issue well without seeming over-dominate. When he wasn't sparring with McCain, he focused on his strength of his economic positions and great leadership.
The debate was basically pointless for every candidate. McCain threw false statements against Romney although repeating some of his good points later and had a successful run during the night. Romney was given the win by being able to defend himself against the false attacks and repeating his "Crushed Washington" campaign. Huckabee didn't get enough talking time to really have any impact, and Ron Paul was basically ignored.
This could have been a better debate but unfortunately... it wasn't. We do hope for an Anderson Cooper mediator for a future debate though.

Mac is Back!

John McCain wins the Florida Primary with only a 3% of the vote over rival Mitt Romney.

"It may not have been a landslide victory, but it is still sweet." Mccain later said in his acceptance speech after he was predicted wo win the Florida delegates.

Rudy Giuliani came in third place with 15% of the vote, mostly early or absentee balloting, but plans on dropping out and endorsing his good friend John McCain.

Meanwhile Mike Huckabee came in fourth with 13% of the vote and has plans on gianing the votes of the deep south states including; Georgia, Arkansas, Tennesse, and Alabama.

With all of this support being thrown behind Senator McCain, Governor Mitt Romney hopes to halt the wave of McCain momentum going into Super Tuesday by winning the west and spreading his message of a crushed Washington through the minds of the voters. He also plans on a surge of support through the eastern states of Super Tuesday with the help of his devoted supporters already within those states. Its America's decision...McCain, Romney, Huckabee, or Paul at the hands of Obama or Hillary to be the next great leader that all of them are promising to be.

Delegate count:

Candidate Delegates

Rudy Giuliani 1
Mike Huckabee 40
John McCain 93
Ron Paul 4
Mitt Romney 59

Total 197

1,191 delegates needed for nomination
